This page will continue to be updated as advice changes and the situation develops. Our advice is based on that of AMiE and Public Health England.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”
Following the government’s new guidance this week, along with churches up and down the country, we are not going to gather together on Sundays at Forbes Road or in small groups for the time being. Although this feels like a drastic measure, it’s an important way of loving one another and our neighbours, as our nation tries to reduce the spread of the virus and the load on the NHS. Click here to see the government’s press conference.
We are looking into ways that we can gather together remotely on Sundays and in Small Groups during this season (further details to follow). Although we won’t be able to meet together in the same way, we need all the more to find ways to care for one another, encourage and build one another up.
Small group leaders will be in touch about your group’s arrangements to meet remotely and stay in close communication. If you have any particular needs or concerns, please get in touch with them or someone else in leadership.
Other meetings and activities
Holiday Club & Explore are postponed until a better time for running them.
Ladies Bible Study & Toddle Time likewise will not be meeting until further notice.
